New research from the Children's Society claims that the number of asylum-seeking children who fall into destitution is increasing. Between October 2008 and 2009 the charity covered out research in the West Midlands, during which period they helped a total of 264 children and their families with financial support. The full report, entitled Destitution Amongst Asylum-Seeking and Refugee Children, is online now.
